Q.    I booked a parking space, should I receive some form of acknowledgement?

A.    Yes - When you book you will receive a ticket by e-mail from us, that looks like this. You should print this and bring it on the day. If you don’t have it  click here

If you paid on line using Paypal, you should also receive a payment receipt from Paypal.  You should keep this for your records.

A.    Sadly not. We have done all the squeezing before we decide we are full! If there are any cancellations these are sold on the day.

Q.    Which events are you open for? Are you open for concerts?

A.    The decision to open is based on, expected attendance, availability of volunteers and other events taking place within the school. Click here for a list of dates.

Q.    What is the traffic like around the school?

A.    There will be between 40,000 & 82,000 people trying to get to the same place as you!

        Before the match you should expect heavy traffic between the M3 or the M4 and the school. You should allow ¾ hour for this.     After the event, the traffic varies depending on the finish time. Generally it is very busy for 1½  hours after the event.

Q.    What time should I arrive at Nelson School?

A.    In order to see the start of the event you should arrive at Nelson School at least an hour before the event starts. The ground is only 1 mile away, but you need to allow time to find your seat. We are open from about 5 hours before the event. Last admission is ½ hour before the event starts. You can check times here.

Q.    Do I have to book, or can I pay on the day?

A.    For many events, the car park is sold out to pre-booked customers. Any remaining spaces are offered on the day on a first come first served basis

Q.    Do you have toilets?

A.    The toilets are always open before the event, and usually for about 2 hours afterwards.

Q.    What is the largest size of vehicle ?

A.    A 25 seat minibus will be able to get into the playgound, anything larger wont be able to make the turn. More details here

Q.    Is Twickenham in the London Congestion Charge area?

A.    No, and it only aplies Monday - Friday anyway. More details 

Q.    Is Twickenham in the Low Emission zone?

A.    YES, the whole of Greater London is. It applies to Diesel engined Vehicles, anything larger than a car is affected. If you get it wrong, the fine is £250, therefore you should check this before bringing any van or minibus into greater London.
